You’re kidding, right?
You think we planned any of this? We believe in the Forest Gump mode of travel: Tomorrow is as tomorrow does.
But roughly, here’s the idea:
Day 1: Drive from Redding, CT to somewhere this or that side of Niagara Falls.
Day 2: Continue to Traverse City (that’s Michigan, for the geography-challenged), where will visit our friends: Annabel and Taylor.
Day 3: Head through northern Michigan, around the top of the lake and on to Wisconsin. Michael will be pumped.
Days 4-5: Drive to Morris, MN to visit Arne and Athena at their farm.
Day 6: Drive and camp near the Black Hills of South Dakota.
Day 7: Drive to Devil’s Tower and then on to camp in the Bighorn Mountains.
Days 8-9: Visit John and Elly in Jackson, WY.
Days 10-11: Visit Bobby and Gina (if they haven’t fled in advance) near Ketchum, ID.
Days 12-13: Motor down to Los Angeles to visit Sarah, Kyle, and Grace.
Days 14-16: Celebrate Billy and Alexa’s wedding in Santa Barbara with family and friends.
Rest of journey: Head north along the Pacific Coast, visiting James & Izzy, Mark Hatheway, Will, Erin, Reid, Tess, Bob, and Wendy. Push into British Columbia and onward to northern Alberta, before making a sharp right turn, direction Redding, CT.
